1. Who we are

Verifyr is the consumer-inspection product operated by MJD TESTING SERVICES LTD (Company No. SC707843), registered at 9 Marguerite Grove, Kirkintilloch, G66 4HD, Scotland. We do business under the brand name “Verifyr”. When this document says “we”, “us”, or “Verifyr”, it means that legal entity.

You can reach us at support@mjdtestingservices.com or +44 7832 638869. The official site is https://mjdtestingservices.com.

2. What Verifyr is

Verifyr is an AI-assisted home item inspection helper, delivered as Software-as-a-Service. You upload photos or describe an item, and we return a structured wear report and a verdict — keep, repair, or replace. We sell the software access only; we do not sell warranties, insurance, professional services, or one-to-one consulting.

Verifyr is not a product certification, not a recall lookup, not an insurance appraisal, not an extended warranty, not an identity verification service, and not a substitute for a licensed inspector. The brand name "Verifyr" refers to product inspection — verifying the condition of items — not the verification of human identity. You agree not to represent our output as any of those things.

3. Eligibility & account

You must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password secure.

If we believe your account is being used in ways that breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, we may suspend or terminate it, with notice where reasonable.

4. Subscriptions, billing, taxes

Paid plans are sold as recurring subscriptions billed monthly or annually in USD. We use Stripe as our primary processor; PayPal and Apple/Google Pay are accepted where you choose them at checkout. Your statement descriptor will read VERIFYR INSPECTOR.

Auto-renewal disclosure (ROSCA / California ARL / UK DMCC / EU Omnibus): the plan you choose renews automatically on the same calendar date, for the same amount, until you cancel. You give your express, affirmative consent to that by ticking the renewal acknowledgement at signup. We email a reminder 7 days before each monthly renewal and 30 days before each annual renewal.

Cancellation is one click from /app/billing (Click-to-Cancel compliant). Email to support@mjdtestingservices.com also works and is treated as effective on receipt.

Where UK / EU consumer law applies, you have a 14-day cooling-off period after first signup and after each renewal — see the Refund Policy.

Card payments may require Strong Customer Authentication (3-D Secure 2). We never store or see your full card number; Stripe is our PCI DSS Level 1 processor of record.

Applicable VAT (UK / EU), US sales tax, and Canadian GST/HST are calculated by Stripe Tax at checkout based on your billing address.

5. Refunds

Our refund position is described in the Refund Policy. In short: charges you did not knowingly authorise are refundable within 14 days; ordinary plan usage outside that window is not refundable.

6. Your content & licence

You keep all rights to the photos and text you upload. You grant Verifyr a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, and display that content for the sole purpose of running and improving the service, in line with the Privacy Policy.

You may not upload content that infringes anyone’s rights, is unlawful, or that you do not have permission to share.

7. Acceptable use

By using Verifyr you accept the Acceptable Use Policy at /legal/acceptable-use. Notably, you may not use Verifyr reports as a “quality guarantee” for second-hand sales, or as evidence in product-liability proceedings.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is”. Verifyr makes no warranty of merchantability, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement, to the extent permitted by law. AI verdicts can be wrong; you remain the decision-maker.

9. Limitation of liability

Where the law permits, our total liability to you under or in connection with the service is capped at the greater of the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months and £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland (with England). The courts of Scotland have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause removes any consumer protection you are entitled to in your country of residence.

11. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes are announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Contact: support@mjdtestingservices.com.

Effective date: 2026-05-19.

A second opinion for every object.

Verifyr is an AI-assisted home item inspection tool. Not a product certification, not a recall lookup, not an insurance appraisal.
