Refund Policy
Cooling-off, click-to-cancel, refund grounds, and how to claim. UK DMCC, EU Consumer Rights Directive, US ROSCA, and California ARL compliant.
1. Position
Verifyr is sold as a pure subscription. We do not run promotional credit packs. Most plans are billed in advance for the period (month or year) ahead.
Your statement descriptor is VERIFYR INSPECTOR. We use Stripe as our payment processor; PayPal and Apple/Google Pay are accepted where you choose them at checkout.
2. 14-day cooling-off (UK DMCC & EU CRD)
If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, you have a 14-day cooling-off period after you first sign up to a paid plan and after each automatic renewal. Within that window you may cancel and receive a full refund of the most recent charge, less any verifiable, reasonable usage if you started using the service immediately.
If you actively use the service inside the cooling-off window (uploading inspections, rendering reels), you accept that you waive your right to a full refund of the proportional amount you used. You always keep the right to cancel future renewals.
3. When we refund beyond the cooling-off
Charges you did not knowingly authorise, reported within 14 days — we refund the most recent invoice in full.
Clear product malfunction that prevented you from using a feature you paid for — we refund or credit the affected period.
Duplicate charges, currency conversion errors, or processor errors — we refund the difference.
4. When we don’t refund
Ordinary, deliberate use of the service (checks consumed, reels rendered) outside the cooling-off window.
Charges older than 14 days that you knew about and did not flag, unless a statutory consumer right applies.
Cancellation alone does not trigger a refund; the subscription stays active until the end of the paid period.
5. Cancellation — click-to-cancel
Cancelling is as easy as signing up. From /app/billing, one click stops future renewals (FTC Click-to-Cancel and UK DMCC simple-cancellation compliant). You can also email support@mjdtestingservices.com with the subject “Cancel” — we treat email cancellations as effective on receipt.
For California residents, the cancellation method is also accessible from /app/billing per the California Automatic Renewal Law.
6. Renewal reminders
For annual plans we email you 30 days before renewal. For monthly plans we email you 7 days before renewal. Reminder notices include the amount, the renewal date, and a one-click cancellation link.
7. How to claim
Open /app/billing and use the Stripe customer portal — refunds applied there land back on your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Or email support@mjdtestingservices.com with the subject “Refund” and your invoice number; we reply within one business day.
